This is a full-time position requiring weekend availability.

SUMMARY
To provide the guest with a secure, comfortable environment by maintaining the hotel's assets through on going preventive maintenance and ensuring that all mechanical systems are operating in accordance with the Amway Hotel Corporation standards. Work in a safe manner to avoid accidents or injury.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Participate in an "aggressive hospitality program," greeting all guests with warmth and enthusiasm, and be attentive to their needs while they are with us.
- Learn and follow all hotel policies and procedures pertaining to your area of work. Follow established uniform standards and comply with all other company policies.
- Practice safety standards and reports all unsafe conditions.
- Provide fast and courteous service to our guests; to accomplish this, a well-organized work area must be maintained.
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times as a goodwill ambassador of the AGPH to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Associate's attitude, willingness to please guests, ability to get along with co-workers and supervisors.
- Ability to follow established guidelines, procedures and policies.
- Good record of attendance and punctuality at work.
- Adherence to prescribed grooming and appearance standards.
- Ability to organize and expedite Engineering service.
- Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
- Perform Preventative maintenance on all refrigeration equipment
- Perform corrective maintenance on all refrigeration equipment
- Perform repairs on all refrigeration equipment
- Maintains records and documentation consistent with EPA requirements as it relates to refrigeration repairs
- Assists in troubleshooting of refrigeration, HVAC, kitchen, and control system problems
- Reports any problem areas which affects the safety, security or operating conditions of the hotel complex
- Assists house mechanics with troubleshooting guest room heat pumps
- Function as a part of the hotels emergency response team
- Maintain an inventory of specialty tools and refrigeration shop
- This position requires weekend work, as it is essential to the role. If you are unable to work weekends (Saturday and Sundays) you would not be eligible for this position.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Must be able to work on commercial kitchen equipment
- Must have experience in the removal and replacement of both water cooled and air cooled compressors
- Experience with liquid cooled chillers a plus
- Must have experience with heat pumps
- Must have refrigeration troubleshooting experience
- Must have basic knowledge of electrical
- Should have experience with all types of refrigerants
- Should have experience with cooling towers
- Must be able to work on a ladder.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ years related experience is preferred.
- Must have a valid Drivers License

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision
