Position Summary
The Commercial HVAC Install Helper supports the installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems on commercial construction and installation projects. Working under the direction of experienced installers, this position assists with equipment installation, ductwork, piping, jobsite preparation, material handling, maintenance, and other aspects of the commercial HVAC installation process.

What You’ll Do
Assist Commercial HVAC Installers with the installation of HVAC systems and equipment on commercial job sites.
Assist with the installation of ductwork, equipment, piping, supports, hangers, and related HVAC components.
Help unload, stage, organize, and transport materials, tools, and equipment throughout the jobsite.
Learn to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, job layouts, and installation specifications.
Assist with setting and positioning HVAC equipment, including rooftop and other commercial units.
Support system start-up, testing, and basic troubleshooting as directed.
Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials and components under the direction of experienced team members.
Follow company safety policies, OSHA requirements, building codes, and industry best practices at all times.
Maintain tools, equipment, work areas, and company vehicles in clean, safe, and working condition.
Keep job sites organized and free of unnecessary hazards and debris.
Complete required job documentation accurately and on time.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, installers, coworkers, and other trades on the jobsite.
Work collaboratively with the installation team to complete projects safely, efficiently, and according to company quality standards.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the Commercial HVAC department.
QualificationsWhat You’ll Need
Previous HVAC, construction, mechanical, or related trade experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Strong interest in learning and developing a career in the HVAC trade.
Universal EPA (CFC) Certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools preferred.
Ability to follow instructions, learn from experienced installers, and work effectively as part of a team.
Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail.
Ability to work safely in an active commercial construction environment.
Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the company.
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds and assist with heavier materials and equipment as needed.
Ability to safely climb and work from ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and rooftops.
Ability to work in mechanical rooms, rooftops, ceiling spaces, confined spaces, and other commercial construction environments.
Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions, temperature extremes, dust, noise, and active construction environments.
Ability to safely use required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, with occasional weekends, overtime, and schedule adjustments based on project needs.
