Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Manager to support daily service operations and lead a team of HVAC service technicians. This role combines HVAC technical expertise, team leadership, customer service, scheduling, and operational coordination.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily HVAC service department operations and technician scheduling.
- Coordinate service calls, repairs, maintenance agreements, labor, materials, and equipment.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical support to HVAC service technicians.
- Monitor technician productivity, staffing, workload, and labor costs.
- Review work orders, scopes of work, job progress, and billing.
- Communicate with customers and resolve service concerns professionally.
- Coordinate with sales and management on purchasing, manpower, and operational needs.
- Assist with maintenance agreement pricing and service recommendations.
- Ensure work complies with applicable HVAC codes, permits, licensing requirements, and industry standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
Qualifications
- Strong HVAC service background, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Commercial HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems experience preferred.
- Previous HVAC supervisory or service management experience strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Ability to read HVAC diagrams, plans, and technical manuals.
- High school diploma or GED required; HVAC technical training preferred.
- HVAC Journeyman License and EPA certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
