We are hiring an HVAC Service Technician for C&M Heating and Cooling, which has served Middle Tennessee for over 50 years. This role starts in service and is built for someone who wants to move fairly quickly into a leadership role in C&M's commercial department.

Pay is based on what you bring. You'll agree on a starting rate, review it after a 2 to 3 week evaluation, and C&M aims to get you where you want to be within 90 days.

On-call pay makes a real difference at C&M. Techs on the weekend on-call rotation have earned $500+ during a single rotation, on top of their hourly rate.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 3 years of HVAC service experience (10 years preferred).
  2. Commercial HVAC experience preferred.
  3. Interest in moving into a leadership role.
  4. EPA certification.
  5. NATE certification.
  6. Ability to troubleshoot equipment and diagnose parts needed for field repairs.
  7. Experience with advanced HVAC testing and repair tools.
  8. Ability to complete retrofit change-outs and leave the work area clean.
  9. Ability to read and understand service manuals.
  10. Strong communication skills in person, by phone, and through digital programs.
  11. Willingness to attend training seminars and classes.
Responsibilities

  1. Service residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC equipment.
  2. Perform preventative maintenance at customer locations.
  3. Complete site surveys, modifications, and repairs on commercial and industrial equipment.
  4. Learn C&M's commercial department and take on leadership responsibilities as you grow.
  5. Explain work performed to customers and management.
  6. Turn in required reports on time.
  7. Represent the company professionally on every call.
Schedule requirements

  1. Participate in a weekend on-call rotation.
  2. Respond to emergency calls, including after hours and weekends.
Physical demands

  1. Ability to work outdoors in all conditions.
  2. Ability to work from a 32' extension ladder and a 12' step ladder.
