Commercial HVAC Technician

<h2>Position Summary</h2><p>Total Comfort Group is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our expanding Mid-Atlantic team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing commercial HVAC equipment at customer locations throughout the MD/DC/VA area.</p><p>The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver who takes pride in delivering outstanding service, maintaining strong customer relationships, and working safely and professionally.</p><p>We offer competitive pay, overtime opportunities, excellent benefits, a company vehicle, and career advancement opportunities.</p><hr><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems and equipment.</li><li>Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, and system evaluations.</li><li>Service rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, package units, heat pumps, air handlers, exhaust systems, make-up air units, and related equipment.</li><li>Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigerant, airflow, controls, and building automation issues.</li><li>Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.</li><li>Perform equipment startups, testing, commissioning, and operational verification.</li><li>Communicate repair recommendations, deficiencies, and maintenance needs to customers and management.</li><li>Complete service reports, work orders, and documentation accurately and on time.</li><li>Maintain compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices.</li><li>Participate in an on-call rotation as required.</li></ul><hr><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul><li>3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience preferred.</li><li>EPA Universal Certification required.</li><li>Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.</li><li>Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Experience working on RTUs, split systems, package units, heat pumps, air handlers, and ventilation equipment.</li><li>Ability to work independently and efficiently manage multiple service calls.</li><li>Strong customer service and communication skills.</li><li>Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS), Direct Digital Controls (DDC), and HVAC controls preferred.</li><li>Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, DC HVAC-related licenses/certifications are a plus.</li></ul><hr><h2>Why Join Total Comfort Group?</h2><ul><li>Competitive pay - $30.00 - $50.00 per hour, based on experience, certifications, and technical expertise.</li><li>Consistent overtime opportunities</li><li>Medical, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>401(k) with company match</li><li>Paid time off and paid holidays</li><li>Company vehicle, fuel card, phone, tablet, and uniforms</li><li>Ongoing technical training and professional development</li><li>Clear opportunities for advancement within a growing organization</li><li>Supportive team environment with a strong focus on safety and quality</li></ul><p>Work Location: Maryland, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia<br>Job Type: Full-Time<br>Schedule: Day Shift with On-Call Rotation as Needed</p>
