💰 Pay: $30–$40 per hour DOE, plus SPIFF opportunities
📅 Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Some evenings, weekends, and rotating on-call shifts may be required.
First Call Heating & Cooling is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex system issues, delivering excellent customer service, and helping customers make informed decisions about their home comfort systems.
What You’ll Do
Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on residential heating and cooling systems
Service and maintain gas and oil furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless systems
Troubleshoot difficult or unusual HVAC system issues
Read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers
Educate customers on preventative maintenance, repair options, and system accessories
Complete service documentation accurately and thoroughly
Collect payment on C.O.D. service calls as needed
Help resolve customer concerns and ensure a high level of satisfaction
Participate in assigned on-call rotation for emergency service
Support and mentor junior technicians when needed
Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude
Follow company procedures, safety standards, and supervisor direction

Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years residential HVAC diagnostic and repair experience
Brazing certification required
EPA 608 certification required
NATE certification required within 2 years of employment
Low voltage license preferred or willingness to obtain within 2 years
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to diagnose advanced system issues and recommend appropriate repairs
Experience performing maintenance on residential and light commercial equipment
Knowledge of duct design and air balancing principles
Ability to complete paperwork and checklists accurately
Reliable attendance and strong adherence to company policies
Willingness to take initiative and leadership responsibility
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable working from extension and step ladders
Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, and confined areas
