Full job details
We are seeking a motivated HVAC Apprentice to join our team on a large-scale commercial new construction project in Arlington, VA. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to build a long-term career in the HVAC trade while gaining hands-on experience working alongside experienced mechanics and foremen.
Pay and Schedule:
Pay: $30-32 per hour
Schedule: 40 hours guaranteed with possible overtime
Responsibilities
- Assist HVAC mechanics with the installation of commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Help install ductwork, equipment, piping, and supports according to project specifications.
- Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment.
- Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and jobsite instructions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and lead mechanics.
Qualifications
- Previous construction or HVAC experience preferred but not required.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn the HVAC trade.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Reliable transportation to and from the jobsite.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and positive attitude.
- OSHA 10 certification is a plus.
