Shamin Hotels is looking for a dependable, hands-on HVAC Technician Helper to join our engineering team and help keep our hotel properties comfortable, safe, and running smoothly. This is a hands-on, entry-level role where you'll work side-by-side with experienced technicians, hotel engineering teams, and outside vendors — learning the trade while making a real, visible difference for our guests and properties. What You'll Do Assist HVAC technicians with inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration equipment Handle preventive maintenance — changing filters, cleaning coils, clearing drains, lubricating components, and checking belts and electrical connections Help diagnose issues on guest-room units, PTACs, split systems, rooftop units, exhaust systems, commercial kitchen equipment, coolers, and freezers Transport tools, parts, refrigerant cylinders, and supplies to work areas, and keep mechanical rooms and workshops clean and organized Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests with minimal disruption to guests Lend a hand with general building maintenance — basic electrical, plumbing, painting, and mechanical tasks Keep accurate records of inspections, repairs, and parts used Support emergency maintenance needs and after-hours calls as assigned QualificationsWhat You Bring — Our Must-Haves Previous hands-on experience in HVAC, facilities maintenance, or a related mechanical trade Working knowledge of hand and power tools, mechanical components, and basic equipment-maintenance practices A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record (travel between properties may be required) Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and the occasional emergency callout Nice to Have High school diploma or GED EPA Section 608 certification (or willingness to obtain it within a company-designated period) Strong mechanical aptitude and a real eagerness to learn from experienced techs What We Offer $25.00/hour, full-time (40 hours/week) Medical, dental, and vision benefits for eligible employees Paid time off and paid holidays Company-provided training and real career-development opportunities Employee hotel discounts Room to grow within a growing hotel portfolio Tools, uniforms, or allowances per company policy The Environment This is active, physical work — you'll be on your feet, climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in mechanical rooms, guest rooms, kitchens, rooftops, and outdoor areas in all kinds of weather.
