This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who knows how to diagnose problems, complete repairs correctly, support a maintenance team, and keep a property running at its best.

Your Role

As a Lead Maintenance Technician, you will be a key member of the property team. You will work closely with the Service Manager to ensure the community is safe, well-maintained, and operating efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including condensers and air handlers
• Complete work orders accurately, safely, and within established timelines
• Support and help lead the maintenance team
• Monitor inventory of parts, tools, and supplies
• Help ensure service requests are completed within 24 hours or according to community standards
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs
• Help manage make-ready and turnkey operations when needed
• Inspect buildings, grounds, vacant units, and common areas
• Maintain excellent curb appeal and overall property condition
• Help ensure compliance with safety and hazard communication procedures
• Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, coworkers, and supervisors
• Provide outstanding customer service
• Assist with maintenance budgets and controlling expenses
• Participate in technical training to keep your skills current

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a dependable, experienced professional who can lead by example and get the job done right.

• HVAC certification required
• EPA certification required
• Strong HVAC diagnostic and repair skills
• Expert-level plumbing knowledge
• Intermediate electrical knowledge where licensing is not required
• Ability to diagnose and repair major appliances
• Multifamily maintenance experience preferred
• Lead Maintenance or supervisory experience preferred
• Valid driver's license and current auto insurance
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
