Job DetailsJob Location: 415 GRASSDALE RD - CARTERSVILLE, GA 30121Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 Salary/yearTravel Percentage: Frequent Travel (25-50%)Summary The 1st Line Service Technician position is responsible for customer satisfaction after the point of sale. This will include support with startups, assembly, maintenance, troubleshooting, etc. for MJC products. Provide guidance to customers on product warranty. This will involve approving contractor repairs and assistance with sourcing replacement parts.   Job Responsibilities and Duties Troubleshoot unit issues and assist with in-field start-up via phone. Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns and responding to special requests. Document information on issues in support software. Give input to New Product Development Teams on serviceability. Disposition warranty claims and ID parts required for service. Work with Parts Department/Purchasing to order replacement parts. Travel to customer sites when necessary. (up to 40%,  weekends when necessary) Conduct extensive self-study to maintain technical proficiency. Work with all levels of the company including Engineering, Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Leadership. QualificationsSkills and Qualifications General knowledge of HVAC systems. (Required) Detailed troubleshooting skills. (Preferred) Familiarity with complex HVAC controls and mechanical systems. (Preferred) Minimum 5 years’ direct work experience with HVAC systems. Ability to maintain business relationships and provide support in difficult situations. Experience in building automation systems. Vocational school, or an associate’s degree in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical Systems, Air Conditioning, or equivalent field experience. Ability to work independently or with little to no supervision. Trane controls and Tracer TU experience.   Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment, in a manufacturing plant environment, and as a representative job site. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Some of the work will require exposure to loud noises or fumes in the plant facility. Certain specialty issues will require factory support, this will require repairs to be conducted in the field. Field environments include but are not limited to mechanical/pump rooms, industrial/commercial facilities, and rooftops that require ladder access.       Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Possess the ability to be agile mobility to include long times standing at customer job sites. Being comfortable in conditions of extreme heat, cold, wind, and comfortable being off the ground on roof tops occasionally. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
