About the Role
Custom Air & Plumbing is seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Rough-In Technician to install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems during the initial construction phase of residential projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Installs ductwork systems, including flex, rigid, and metal duct, according to engineered plans and mechanical layouts
- Installs refrigerant line sets, condensate drain lines, and venting systems
- Ensures proper duct strapping, sealing, and insulation
- Ensures correct pitch and support of drain lines to prevent operational issues
- Coordinates with builders and other trades during the construction phase to ensure efficient workflow and code compliance.
- Maintains job site cleanliness
- Adheres to safety standards
- Verifies that all installations meet local mechanical codes
- Communicates material needs, project progress, and any field issues to their supervisor.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of hands-on residential HVAC installation experience
- Experience reading blueprints, laying out duct systems, setting equipment platforms, and ensuring all rough-in work meets local building codes and company standards.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Professional attitude and strong customer-service mindset
