HVAC Sales Representative

POSITION SUMMARY:

The HVAC Sales Representative will identify customers’ needs to accurately design and price heating & air conditioning systems for residential applications.  Must be dedicated to providing the best service and products available to homeowners and businesses. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Increase sales by selling parts, equipment, preventative maintenance agreements and following up on all potential sales leads.
• Responsible for handling all sales leads (self-generated and furnished by the Company) in a timely and professional manner and communicating the disposition of each lead with the Installation Coordinator.
• Accurately design and quote solutions for residential customers.
• Responsible for executing proper follow-up procedures with every customer.
• Ensures that customer expectations are met and kept throughout the duration of the project to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain sales that meet or exceed the profit margin and closing ratio goals assigned by the Sales Manager.
• Make recommendations to the customer regarding the different options they must resolve their wants and needs.
• Communicate to the consumer on the proper operation and maintenance of the installed equipment.
• Answer related questions as to operation, features, and functions to the homeowner.
• Identify new business opportunities by performing direct sales activities and provide support to the administrative personnel as needed.
• Meet with the HVAC Sales Manager, Plumbing Managers, service technicians and dispatchers to discuss potential parts and equipment sales opportunities and leads.
• Discuss with and advise customers on replacement options.
• Inspect customer equipment in order to provide accurate bid proposals and pricing.
• Run equipment sales leads from internally generated repair versus replacement discussions.
• Monitor customer accounts (service/sales/maintenance plans) in order to serve customers and provide Waterbury’s services.

• Maintain a list of sales made (customer name, customer number, amount of sale, item sold and date of sale).
• Turn in monthly Commission Sheets.
• Participate in HVAC Service and Sales meetings.
• Track and monitor a list of accounts (active and inactive).
• Log all customer information within Service Titan.
• Collect and process customer payments.

• Inform customers of any special pricing and/or promotions.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries.
• Refer all customer issues to management.
• Any other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to properly engineer a job, perform heat load calculations and determine proper equipment sizing.
• Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities.
• Valid driver's license with no major violations on MVR
• Be willing to work in a drug free work environment
• Knowledge of HVAC and products preferred.
  

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:

• Sales experience is required and HVAC background is beneficial, but not required.
