Position Summary
Calvey Heating & Air is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate has at least five years of hands-on experience servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing residential and commercial heating and cooling systems, including heat pumps.
We offer competitive compensation, a five-day workweek, full benefits, a company-provided vehicle, and a cell phone.
Key Responsibilities
HVAC Service, Repair & Maintenance
- Diagnose and repair residential and commercial HVAC equipment, including heat pumps, air conditioners, and furnaces.
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspect equipment for potential issues.
- Troubleshoot heating, cooling, airflow, electrical, and control system problems.
- Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation.
Customer Service & Communication
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and commercial customers.
- Explain findings, recommended repairs, and maintenance needs clearly.
- Obtain customer approval before performing additional work.
- Respect customer property and maintain clean work areas.
Documentation & Field Coordination
- Maintain accurate service records, including repairs, parts used, and follow-up needs.
- Coordinate with dispatch and office personnel regarding scheduling and job progress.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain company tools, equipment, and assigned vehicle.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC experience.
- Experience servicing residential and commercial HVAC systems.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing heat pumps.
- Ability to diagnose and repair HVAC systems independently.
- Strong customer-service and communication skills.
- Dependable, organized, and able to work five days per week.
- Ability to maintain accurate service documentation.
