We're Hiring: HVAC Service Technician - Join Our Culture-Driven Team!

APPLICANT MUST HAVE AT LEAST 2 YEARS OF HVAC DIAGNOSTICS

American Rooter & Drain (ARD) is on the hunt for an HVAC Service Technician who can do more than just fix broken systems - we're looking for someone who can connect with people, solve problems on the spot, and represent our company with professionalism and purpose.

When the AC's out or the heat's gone cold, you're the calm in the storm. You'll respond to No Heat / No AC calls, diagnose and make on-the-spot repairs, and when it's time, set leads for full system replacements (handled by our install crews). If you're good with your hands and your words - this job is for you.

What You'll Do:

  • Respond to residential HVAC service calls: no heat, no cool, poor performance, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose system issues with precision and efficiency.
  • Perform small repairs on-site; escalate major fixes to our dedicated install teams.
  • Identify opportunities for system replacement and coordinate leads with the sales/install team.
  • Follow our proven process
  • Maintain a professional, friendly demeanor that makes customers feel at ease.
  • THIS IS NOT AN INSTALL POSITION.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work with customers on closing repair tickets and ability to set leads for system replacements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a strong desire to grow and learn.
  • Team player who takes direction well and thrives in a structured environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and an instinct for problem-solving.
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to lift heavy equipment, work in crawl spaces, and handle outdoor weather conditions.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
  • Solid Understanding of HVAC systems and diagnosing system components is a must.

Work Schedule:

  • Technicians work a 5-day schedule (rotating Saturdays), ensuring proper coverage for running service calls:
  • Monday-Friday, 7 AM-7 PM
  • Saturday, 8 AM-5 PM
  • Sunday = Day of rest day. We're closed!!

Company Culture Matters Here:

"I love the support - there's always someone to help you level up. It's not just a job, it's a career path with a team that feels like family."

"They actually train you how to succeed here. With the daily weekly coaching, I've learned more in 6 months than I did in my first year at my last shop."

We live by our Company Values:

  • Have a Good Attitude - Positivity and coachability matter.
  • Professionalism - Be sharp, be on time, represent the brand.
  • Improve Your Environment - Take ownership wherever you are.
  • Solve Problems at the Lowest Level - Be a solution-minded tech.
  • Mutual Respect - Even when we disagree, we've got each other's backs.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive pay based on experience and performance.
  • Comprehensive training - Learn the ARD way with senior techs, field supervisors, and weekly team coaching.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance to keep you and your family covered (employee paid 100%).
  • Opportunities for growth - We promote from within.
  • All the tools you need to succeed, including a stocked company vehicle.
  • Bonuses tied to performance, sales, and customer satisfaction.

Ready to Join a Team That Invests in You?

If you've got the drive, the attitude, and a genuine desire to help people, you'll thrive at ARD. This isn't just another tech job - this is where you build your future.

Apply today. Let's grow together.
