Position Overview
Hiring – HVAC Tech
C&N Mechanical Services, LLC
Location: Hartford, CT, Glastonbury, CT 06033
Hours: On-call 1 week of every 5 weeks.
Pay: based on skills & experience
Level I (Journeyperson)
- 0–3 years HVAC service experience (4–7 years total field experience)
- D2 or S2 license preferred
- Able to perform basic service work independently
Level II (Journeyperson)
- 4–6 years HVAC experience (8–10 years total)
- D2 or S2 license
- Comfortable with installs, light service, and leading small jobs
- Experience with 2–20 ton systems and small boilers
Level III (Senior Tech)
- 7+ years HVAC experience (11+ years total)
- D2 or S2 license required
- Leads full installation projects and handles complex systems
- Experience with VRF systems, 2–100 ton HVAC, and boilers up to 10M BTU
- Strong client interaction skills
Job Summary:
As a HVAC Tech. - doing Installation & Service, you will diagnose, repair, install, and maintain HVAC systems while delivering exceptional service to our customers. You’ll play a key role in ensuring system performance, efficiency, and long-term reliability.
What you will do as an HVAC Technician:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems
- Perform installations of HVAC equipment and components
- Conduct preventative maintenance and system inspections
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Communicate clearly with customers about system issues and solutions
- Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and performance standards
What you will need:
- EPA Section 608 Certification (required)
- D2/S2 License
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Solid communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- 4+ years of HVAC experience preferred
- NATE and OSHA certifications are a plus
