Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Corporate Office - FOREST, VA 24551Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 SalaryThe HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems within our assisted living community. This role ensures a safe, comfortable, and properly climate-controlled environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The position may require participation in an on-call rotation to address after-hours maintenance needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, heat pumps, ventilation systems, thermostats, and related controls. Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC and mechanical systems. Diagnose system malfunctions and perform timely, cost-effective repairs. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency calls. Maintain indoor air quality standards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Monitor and adjust building management systems as needed. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and inventory of parts and supplies. Assist with general facility maintenance tasks when needed (plumbing, minor electrical, etc.). Ensure compliance with OSHA, state, and local regulations. Work professionally and respectfully in resident living areas. Work Environment Work is performed in a residential healthcare setting. May be exposed to mechanical equipment, noise, and outdoor weather conditions. On-call rotation required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. HVAC certification required (EPA Certification preferred). Minimum 5 years of HVAC experience preferred, preferably in healthcare, senior living, or commercial facilities. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and safety procedures. Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of HVAC equipment. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in confined spaces, on ladders, and in varying temperatures. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
