Gensco currently has an amazing opportunity available to join our Technical Services Team as a HVAC Technical Support Specialist based out of any of our branches!
Summary
- Perform a broad range of inside administrative and service support for both Customers and Gensco Team Members
- Provide inside technical support for equipment sold by Gensco by offering guidance on installation, service, and repair
- Provide technical training for our Customers and Gensco Team Members and communicate pertinent factory information as necessary
Skills and Qualifications
- Completion of a 2-year college degree in technical studies or equivalent work experience preferred
- 5 years of related work experience and excellent knowledge of HVAC industry preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage details and meet deadlines with 100% accuracy in a multi-task environment
- Customer service-oriented approach, respond to requests with a sense of urgency
- Strong attention to detail, excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proactive, self-motivated, able to recognize issues and resolve or escalate appropriately
- Strong presentation skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong people skills, recognizes when to use formal or informal approach, not easily intimidated, ability to say “no” in a firm but polite manner
- Ability to use tact and diplomacy in sensitive situations
- Able to operate personal computer, calculator, other office machines and proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Able to work sitting or standing and to move freely throughout the facility
- Able to lift and carry equipment and supplies on a frequent basis
- Able to travel as required
