Job Title: Facilities HVAC Maintenance Technician
Classification: Hourly
Department: Maintenance
Reports to: Facilities Supervisor
Position Summary:
Maintain facilities – HVAC Equipment, Aux. Equipment, and grounds.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Installing receptacles.
  • Determine department concerns with their current HVAC system
  • Clean/Inspect HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety
  • Perform necessary repairs and routine maintenance
  • Maintaining HVAC systems.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and HVAC resources
  • Troubleshoot HVAC Equipment
  • Perform 5S activities.
  • Keep HVAC units clean and in working order
  • Plumbing.
  • Troubleshoot/repair exhaust/supply fans
  • All other jobs, which pertain to the upkeep of the facilities.
  • Performs other duties as required.

  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Excellent problem solving and time management
  • Ability to work well in a multi-cultural environment
  • Willing to work in hot/humid, cold, noisy industrial environment
  • Must be able to operate forklifts, aerial lifts, cranes and maintenance type vehicles.
  • Ability to oversee contractors
  • Computer skills
Education & Experience:
  • 2+ years’ work experience in HVAC type maintenance
  • Current State HVAC technician License or Completion of an HVAC Training program at a vocational school or apprenticeship
  • Certification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle refrigerants required

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
  • Able to work in high places with aerial lifts and ladders
  • Able to lift heavy objects
  • Able to sit, bend, kneel, stand and walk.
  • Able to work in extreme heat and cold.
  • Willingness to learn and work to be the best of his/her abilities as well to help the Kobe Team to grow from your experience.
  • Proficient with manual/power tools, multimeter, and able to solder copper
  • Reliable and self-motivated
