Job DetailsJob Location: Oklahoma City Housing Authority - Oklahoma City, OK 73117Salary Range: $40,012.00 - $60,018.00 SalarySCOPE:
Responsible for maintenance work necessary for the upkeep and operation of buildings and equipment belonging to the Housing Authority.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
Directly responsible to the Director Technical Services.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
Works in heating, air-conditioning and general maintenance.
Ensures the technical correctness of tasks performed.
Evaluates assigned tasks, makes work plans and estimates the work hours, materials, tools, cost and time required to complete the task.
Plans, assigns, supervises, inspects, and evaluates the work of subordinates.
Performs, directs and/or monitors work which is directly related to license.
Instructs and trains other employees in safe and proper operating practices for equipment and tools.
Responds to emergency (night and weekend) demands.
Supervises and/or prepares work orders and time reports.
Investigates and reports on damages to Authority property.
Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
High School diploma, or equivalent. Five years field experience with an Oklahoma State Mechanical Journeyman’s License. Must be knowledgeable in residential, commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.
Possess average knowledge of HVAC drawings, pumps, boilers and HVAC chillers.
Ability to accomplish assigned tasks with little supervision, as well as recognize and take appropriate action on unassigned tasks.
Supervisory ability. Ability to comply with Authority attendance policies. Possess a valid Oklahoma Driver License with an acceptable driving record.
PHYSICAL:
Near vision sufficient to prepare and read work orders, blueprints, construction specifications, computer generated products, and forms. Hearing and speech sufficient to communicate effectively in person and by radio and telephone. Ability to access all areas of all Authority properties. All physical requirements are evaluated based on the ability to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation under the ADA.
