Industrial Refrigeration & HVAC Maintenance Mechanic

Location: 2473 W. 2950 N., Salt Lake City, UT 84116 (On-site)
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
Schedule: 12-hour shifts | 40+ hours per week

Bridor North America is hiring an Industrial Refrigeration & HVAC Maintenance Mechanic for our new Salt Lake City bakery. These newly created positions offer a rare opportunity to work on advanced temperature-controlled systems and help shape a start-up facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on refrigeration, HVAC, and production systems

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and refrigeration equipment

  • Install, modify, and repair equipment to ensure operational efficiency

  • Follow all food safety, GMP, and safety regulations

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS

  • Assist with equipment changeovers, setups, and calibrations

  • Manage and maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies

  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong refrigeration and HVAC expertise; ammonia refrigeration experience highly preferred

  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, OSHA, FDA, DEP, EPA, and TCPA regulations

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills

  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Other Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred

  • Minimum 2 years industrial maintenance experience (food industry preferred)

  • Good decision-making, initiative, and organizational skills

  • Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office

  • Must be able to understand, speak, and write English

Pay Range: $30–$40/hr DOE
