- Independently run service calls, identify equipment problems, and complete appropriate repairs.
- Replace or repair components such as compressors, motors, thermostats, and filters.
- Perform preventive maintenance, including cleaning, inspecting, testing, and adjusting system components.
- Explain findings clearly, answer customer questions, and present appropriate repair, maintenance, and replacement options with honesty and respect.
- Verify system operation after service and leave each work area clean and orderly.
- Guide and coach a technician helper while remaining actively responsible for completing fieldwork.
- Document diagnostics, work performed, parts used, and customer recommendations accurately in ServiceTitan.
- Follow safety procedures, use required personal protective equipment, and handle tools, equipment, and refrigerants responsibly.
- Maintain an organized service vehicle and communicate inventory and equipment needs.
- Work with the owner and Technical Compliance Manager to improve service quality, workflow, and team development.
- Help build lasting customer relationships by arriving prepared, communicating proactively, and keeping commitments.
Qualifications:
- Minimum three years of HVAC service and repair experience; five or more preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- EPA Section 608 certification appropriate to the equipment serviced; Universal certification preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC trade school training preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company vehicle insurance requirements.
- Ability to use mobile service software and maintain accurate service records; ServiceTitan experience is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical information in understandable terms.
- Willingness to coach others, accept feedback, and contribute ideas that improve the business.
- Ability to perform essential field duties, including lifting and carrying equipment, climbing ladders, and working in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Commitment to safe work, ethical recommendations, and respectful customer service.
The Team We Are Building:
Our BUILD values guide how we work:
- Belong Here: Treat people with respect and help teammates succeed.

- Improve Every Day: Keep learning, welcome feedback, and improve your craft.
- Lead with Courage: Speak up, take responsibility, and do the right thing.
- Deliver the Promise: Follow through and stand behind the quality of your work.
We welcome someone who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in serving customers, and wants a meaningful role in building a successful business. Your contribution will be visible in the work you complete, the teammate you help develop, and the customers who trust us to return.
