Full job details
Position Summary:
Ensure the daily operation of our refrigeration and diesel systems. This role requires a motivated individual with a strong background in diesel mechanics, refrigeration systems, and logistics. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a dynamic working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Check and log reefer temps daily.
- Monitor the Cortex system daily to ensure refrigeration units are functioning properly.
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on refrigerated trailer units as needed, including emergency response at any hour.
- Reload trailers when units are non-repairable.
- Troubleshoot and resolve refrigeration system issues.
- Operate Hi-Lo machinery as needed.
- Travel between various farm locations to perform service duties.
- Maintain accurate records and follow safety protocols in all operations.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Problem-solving aptitude and adaptability.
- Proficient in basic computer systems and monitoring software.
- Experience with Hi-Lo operation and basic mechanical handling.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently between different company sites.
- Does not own or maintain regular contact with birds, pigs, cattle, goats, sheep, or unprocessed eggs
Physical Demands:
- Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to stoop, bend, climb, and lift at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to remain standing and/or walking for extended periods of time.
