Position Summary: 

Isaac Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Sales Representative for our Syracuse, NY Location.  his is a lead-based sales role with a competitive base salary plus commission. First-year earnings potential can exceed $150,000–$180,000+ depending on performance.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Perform in-home consultations, follow-ups, and sales of residential HVAC equipment and services 
  • Drive sales revenue and maintain strong gross margins for the residential HVAC division 
  • Continuously develop sales skills, stay current on industry trends, and maintain deep product knowledge 
  • Schedule jobs, prepare designs, and submit job orders 
  • Clearly communicate project scope with installation and service teams 
  • Deliver outstanding customer service from the initial sale through completion and beyond

 

Qualifications:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • Previous sales experience (preferably in HVAC, home services, or related industries) strongly preferred 
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, home performance, energy efficiency, or building science is a plus 
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required

 

Competencies:  

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management abilities 
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in easy-to-understand terms for homeowners

 

Total first-year compensation potential: $150,000–$180,000+ (base + commission). Starting salary is $80,000 plus 2% commission for 6-month training period. Compensation switches to commission-only at 10% after training period is complete. Actual earnings depend on sales performance, experience, and individual results.
