We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Residential HVAC Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) solutions to our valued customers. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems, ensuring optimal comfort and energy efficiency. Your broad expertise in mechanical systems and electrical components will drive your success as you troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced field service environment where your technical skills and customer service talents will shine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, furnaces, and boilers.
- Possess the ability to interpret schematics or technical manuals to accurately identify issues and determine appropriate repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure peak performance and extend system lifespan.
- Utilize specialized tools such as ohmmeters, manometers, and refrigerant recovery machines to complete repairs efficiently.
- Conduct property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems, including plumbing connections and appliance repairs if necessary.
- Maintain detailed service records, including inspection reports, repair logs, and parts used for each job.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of proven experience as a service technician in HVAC
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and understand HVAC design principles.
- Type II EPA Certification or Universal EPA
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair involving furnaces, boilers, air conditioning units and geothermal systems
- Familiarity with field service procedures for property maintenance and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, manometers and perform brazing or basic mechanical repairs.
- Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record
- Knowledge of HVAC/R
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong communication abilities to explain technical issues clearly to homeowners.
Compensation:
- $28.00-45.00 per hour, based on experience
