Description

Stationary Engineer with HVAC Certificate

Lexington, KY

Pay: $36.00–$40.00 per hour (Based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Location: Lexington, KY


Keep Critical Facility Systems Running

If you have experience operating boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, and central utility equipment, this is an opportunity to put your skills to work in a stable, first-shift position. You'll play a key role in keeping essential building systems operating safely, efficiently, and reliably every day.


A Day in the Life

  • Operate and monitor boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, pumps, generators, and central utility equipment
  • Monitor Building Automation Systems (BAS) and respond to alarms or system issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to maximize equipment reliability
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems to minimize downtime
  • Maintain water treatment systems and monitor water chemistry
  • Respond to equipment failures and emergency service calls
  • Complete work orders and maintenance documentation using a CMMS
  • Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, or central utility equipment
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience using Building Automation Systems (BAS) and CMMS preferred
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, piping diagrams, and equipment schematics
  • Kentucky Stationary Engineer License or Boiler Operator Certification preferred (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, manufacturing, or other mission-critical facilities is a plus
  • Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement
