Role summary:
The Technician, Facility Services, HVAC, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and related equipment to ensure optimal facility operations. This role involves interpreting technical documentation, performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and control issues, and adhering to safety and regulatory standards. The position requires effective communication with facility teams, managing work assignments through digital tools, and supporting operational efficiency. The technician also participates in on-call rotations and collaborates with management and partners to uphold quality and compliance while driving continuous improvement in facility services.

What you'll do:
  • Install HVAC systems, ductwork, control components, and related building equipment following technical documentation and applicable codes.
  • Configure and calibrate digital controls, building automation, and low-ambient HVAC applications to meet operational standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control issues affecting HVAC and facility systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure optimal system operation and reduce downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, parts usage, and service activities.
  • Operate company vehicles safely to complete service calls within assigned regions.
  • Collaborate with management and partners to coordinate work assignments and communicate service needs.

What you'll bring:
  • Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, ductwork, and control components.
  • Ability to interpret technical schematics, layout plans, and documentation to ensure accurate installations.
  • Skilled in configuring and calibrating building automation and direct digital control systems.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic capabilities to resolve HVAC and facility system issues.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and company safety protocols, ensuring safe operation of tools and equipment.
  • Proficient in performing preventive maintenance and system inspections to optimize equipment performance.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with facility operators and management.
  • Competence in using digital tools for work orders, scheduling, and parts tracking.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Vocational or technical HVAC certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC and building controls.
Option 1: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical, plumbing, material handling- equipment, or related trades.
Option 2: 2 years’ store experience.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
Valid EPA Section 608 Certification for the handling and servicing of refrigerants.• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
