Job Information

We're looking for a Territory Manager in Peoria, IL to call on a well-established territory. This Territory Manager position will be responsible for managing and expanding Republic’s HVAC customer base within the assigned territory. This role involves building relationships with contractors, distributors, and engineers, promoting Republic’s product lines, and delivering solutions that meet customer needs. The ideal candidate is an experienced sales professional with strong knowledge of HVAC systems and a passion for exceeding sales targets. The role requires frequent travel, including overnight stays.

Role & Responsibility

• Establish and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships with HVAC Contractors and engineers in order to grow profitable business
• Implement territory sales plan to achieve and exceed revenue and growth targets
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and prospective customers.
• Conduct regular customer visits to understand their needs and recommend tailored product solutions.
• Prepares, generates and follow up on quotations to assure that the customer is being serviced
• Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers to support product promotions and technical training. Fulfill customer needs for current literature, catalogs, product pricing, etc.
• Execute sales efforts in an ethical and professional manner and maintain a professional image of self and work environment
• Stay current on existing and emerging product and technologies including attending product training classes, trade shows and sales meetings
• Provide technical support and product training to customers to ensure they understand the benefits of Republic’s offerings
• Promote Republic’s HVAC product lines including York, Luxaire, Mitsubishi, and Gree. Introduce and demonstrate new products to assigned accounts
• Monitor and report competitive conditions, market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback
• Work closely with Inside Sales, Counter Sales, Marketing and Operations to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts and opportunity tracking through Republic’s CRM and other tools.
• Complete sales calls and expense reports on a timely basis in accordance with company policy
• Perform other duties as instructed or required to successfully complete the job

Requirements

• Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related discipline or equivalent experience
• Experience Required: 5+ years of relevant sales and/or HVAC experience (experience with contractors, distributors, or manufacturers preferred.)
• Commitment to and demonstration of high ethical standards, professional behavior, communication skills, developing relationships and working in a team environment
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, energy efficiency solutions, and industry standards.
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent communication and negotiation and relationship building skills.
• Self motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
• A valid driver’s license, clean driving record and proof of insurance

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up 5-15 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach.
• Ability to travel by card in sales vehicle to customer locations very frequently.
• Ability to sit and drive for extended periods of time in a vehicle.
• Ability to sit and work at a computer, answer phone calls, reply to emails and do basic office work.
  

Work Environment

• Combination of driving, customer facility environments and office environments.
• Exposure to varying temperatures in warehouse and customer locations.
