Commercial HVAC Service Technician
$36 to $44/hr plus overtime | Take-home van | Maryland Journeyman License Support
We’re seeking experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technicians to support customers throughout the DC/MD market.
If you're the type of technician who enjoys solving problems, takes ownership of your accounts, and would rather diagnose the issue than swap parts and move on, you'll fit right in. Our team serves a diverse portfolio of commercial facilities including schools, healthcare facilities, laboratories, data centers, government buildings, and Class A office properties.
You'll work on a wide range of commercial HVAC equipment, build lasting customer relationships, and join a team that invests in training, safety, and long-term career growth.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC equipment, including RTUs and split systems (50 ton and above), VRF, heat pumps, hydronic and low-pressure steam boilers, pumps and pump packages, cooling towers and chillers.
- Run scheduled maintenance on your own accounts.
- Create clear, professional service reports and communicate findings and recommendations to customers.
- Quote the repairs you find and flag the replacements; the work you generate counts
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years in commercial HVAC service
- Maryland journeyman license, or eligible for one, and we will help you obtain it (exam prep and fee paid, hours tracked, working under our master license until then)
- EPA Universal Certification.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation (only once every 6-8 weeks!)
- Professional communication skills, both in the field and in written service documentation.
Bonus Points For
- Building automation familiarity (Niagara, Metasys, Tracer, Desigo): can read trends and points, not necessarily program.
- Critical-environment experience: data center CRAC/CRAH units and chilled-water plants, healthcare air handlers and pressure relationships, K-12 and life-science buildings.
- OEM factory training (Trane, Carrier, York/JCI, Daikin), NATE, A2L refrigerant transition training.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- undefined
What You Get:
- Earn $36-$44/hour based on your experience, technical ability, and license level.
- Take home a company vehicle, fuel card, phone, and everything you need to do your job successfully.
- Access consistent overtime opportunities and additional compensation through our on-call rotation.
- Continue growing your skills through company-paid OEM training, building automation exposure, and A2L refrigerant certification.
- Advance your career with company-paid Journeyman and Master HVAC licensing support.
- Enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and paid holidays.
- Build a long-term career with a team that values technical expertise, rewards initiative, and promotes from within.
- The stability and resources of a publicly traded parent company with the culture and relationships of a locally operated service team.
