Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive hands-on commercial HVAC service experience.
- Journeyman-level proficiency in diagnosing and resolving advanced system issues independently.
- EPA Section 608 certification (Universal strongly preferred).
- Physical ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Commitment to safety, OSHA regulations, and accurate documentation.
Responsibilities
- Independently diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex commercial HVAC systems including RTUs, chillers, boilers, and large-scale controls.
- Perform major component replacements, refrigerant handling, system balancing, startup/commissioning, and retrofits.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and performance testing to improve energy efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Lead full service calls from dispatch to completion and communicate findings and recommendations to customers.
- Ensure compliance with codes, EPA requirements, and Modigent safety standards; maintain thorough records.
