Apex Service Midwest is seeking a high-performing Market HVAC Sales Manager to lead and elevate residential HVAC sales performance across our Indiana market. This role will partner closely with General Managers and local leadership teams across multiple locations to drive profitable growth, improve sales execution, develop talent, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for a proven sales leader who thrives in a performance-driven environment and has a track record of building and coaching successful HVAC sales teams. The ideal candidate brings experience leading multiple locations or large residential sales and service organizations and is passionate about developing people, driving accountability, and scaling results.
What You'll Do
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for residential HVAC sales operations across multiple Indiana locations.
- Partner with General Managers and local leadership teams to drive revenue growth, sales effectiveness, and operational consistency.
- Lead, coach, and develop Comfort Advisors and Selling Technicians, creating a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Establish, monitor, and improve key sales performance metrics, including close rates, average ticket, financing utilization, lead conversion, and revenue growth.
- Conduct regular ride-alongs, field coaching, call reviews, and sales training to improve individual and team performance.
- Identify best practices across the market and implement standardized sales processes that can be scaled across multiple locations.
- Collaborate with operations, service, marketing, and call center teams to maximize lead conversion and customer experience.
- Support recruiting, onboarding, and succession planning efforts for HVAC sales teams throughout the market.
- Analyze sales performance and market trends, providing actionable recommendations to local and regional leadership.
- Champion a customer-first approach while driving sustainable and profitable growth.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience within residential HVAC or home services.
- Demonstrated success leading high-performing HVAC sales organizations, Comfort Advisor teams, or large residential service and sales teams.
- Experience overseeing multiple locations, regions, or large-scale field sales organizations preferred.
- Strong understanding of residential HVAC sales processes, lead generation, financing programs, replacement sales, and customer acquisition strategies.
- Proven ability to coach leaders and sales professionals to achieve and exceed performance goals.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data and KPIs to drive business decisions.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel throughout the Indiana market to support multiple operating locations.
