You’re not just looking for another HVAC install job.

You’re looking for a place where your license matters, your skill is respected, your craftsmanship is valued, and your paycheck actually reflects the leadership and quality you bring to the job site.

At Service Stars, we’re a family-owned home service company serving Fairfield County and the Danbury area. We do premium residential plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work — and we are building a team of people who want to be proud of the truck they drive, the systems they install, and the company name on their shirt.

We are looking for an experienced HVAC Install Lead Technician holding a minimum Connecticut D-2 license who wants to be part of something better.

Not corporate. Not private equity that cares more about spreadsheets than straight ductwork. Not a revolving door. Not a company that burns people out and calls it “opportunity.”

We Believe in Three Wins:

• The employee wins first. You should love where you work. You should be paid well. You should be treated like a professional and a true craftsman, not a spreadsheet entry.
• The client wins next. When our install leads are supported and empowered, our clients get straight ductwork, clean jobs, reliable comfort, and real craftsmanship.
• The company wins last. If our people win and our clients win, the business takes care of itself. That’s how our team runs.

What We Offer:

• Top Pay for Top Installers: $35.00 – $55.00/hour based on your skill and execution, plus extra bonuses for top performance.
• 401(k) with a 4% Match: We invest in your future because we want professionals who are building a career, not just punching a clock.
• Comprehensive Health & Dental Coverage: Solid health and dental insurance to keep you and your family protected.
• Paid Time Off & Stable, Year-Round Work: Consistent residential install projects with protected time off to rest and recharge.
• Real Career Path for Growth: Ongoing training and opportunities to move into field supervision, project management, or leadership as we continue expanding the right way.
• Family-Owned Culture: No boardroom games. No private-equity playbook. You’ll know the owners, work directly with the Install Manager, and be part of building something great.
• Premium Tools & Gear: Clean company uniforms and top-tier support so you can execute clean, safe, high-standard installs every time.

Our Core Values

• Show Up: Be reliable. Be present. Show up on time, ready to work, so your crew and our clients can count on you.
• Take Action: Coordinate your job site, solve problems on the fly, and own the installation from start to finish.
• All In: Take pride in straight lines, clean brazing, and dialed-in commissioning. No half-effort; we do the job right the first time.
• Raise the Standard: Cringe at shoddy work and reject "good enough." Set the benchmark for quality and safety on every job.
• Stronger Together: Mentor your crew, support your team, and leave the drama at the door.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a Lead HVAC Install Technician who brings:

• Licensing: Active Connecticut D-2 license (Required).
• Experience: Minimum 4 years of residential HVAC install experience, with at least 2 years directly leading or guiding an install crew.
• Trade Mastery: Solid, hands-on knowledge of residential HVAC changeouts, duct transitions, safety standards, and system start-ups.
• Professionalism: Clear communication, sharp problem-solving skills, basic computer/tablet literacy, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record.
• Nice to Have, but Not Required: 10+ years of install experience (4+ years in a lead role), EPA Section 608 Certification, NATE Certification, or experience with digital project management tools.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and mentoring an install crew on high-quality residential HVAC replacement and installation projects.
• Coordinating directly with the Install Manager to ensure equipment, materials, and staging are dialed in before heading to the site.
• Taking full ownership of the job site: managing project timelines, maintaining safety protocols, and ensuring all work meets our strict craftsmanship standards.
• Handling standard physical requirements of the trade: navigating ladders, stairs, attics, and crawlspaces, lifting heavy equipment (50+ lbs), and working in seasonal weather conditions.

Who This Job Is Perfect For

This is a great fit if you are tired of:

• Working for private equity shops that push speed and shortcuts over straight, clean craftsmanship.
• Dealing with disorganized jobs where parts are missing and nobody takes responsibility.
• Being micromanaged by office personnel who have never hung a piece of ductwork in their lives.
• Having your earning potential capped out without reward for high performance.
• Carrying the entire crew without the backing of a company that actually invests in your long-term growth.

Who Should Not Apply?

Do NOT apply if:

• You cut corners, leave sloppy work behind, or accept "good enough" as a standard.
• You blame your crew when things go wrong instead of coaching them up.
• You bring drama to the job site or the shop.
• You are just looking for a place to hide while others are working.

Why Service Stars?

Because true craftsmanship deserves respect.

• Better compensation and performance bonuses.
• Better company culture.
• Better leadership and direct communication.
• Better quality standards.
• Better long-term career growth.

If you eat, sleep, and breathe this trade, take pride in clean residential installations, and want to lead a crew in a shop that values hard work and doing it right, this is the move you’ve been waiting for.
