What You'll Do

As a Residential HVAC Service Technician, you will diagnose, service, maintain, and repair residential heating and cooling equipment throughout the Greater Hartford area.

Responsibilities include:

Diagnose residential heating and cooling system problems
Service and repair furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and air handlers
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical system issues
Perform refrigeration diagnostics and repairs
Identify and correct airflow and comfort problems
Diagnose thermostats, controls, and related components
Complete preventive maintenance and system evaluations
Explain findings and repair options clearly to homeowners
Provide accurate documentation for completed service calls
Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach in the field

We believe good technicians should be trusted to diagnose the problem, educate the homeowner, and recommend the right solution. This is not a high-pressure sales environment.

What You Need

Required Qualifications:

Active Connecticut S-2 Unlimited Heating, Piping & Cooling Journeyperson License
EPA Section 608 certification
Previous residential HVAC service experience
Strong HVAC troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Experience servicing heating and air-conditioning equipment
Knowledge of heat pumps, controls, electrical systems, airflow, and refrigeration
Ability to work independently in a residential service environment
Strong customer communication skills
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Additional Experience We Value

Experience or certifications in any of the following are a plus:

EPA Universal Certification
NATE Certification
Cold-climate heat pumps
ServiceTitan
OSHA training
High-efficiency heating and cooling equipment
Coaching or mentoring apprentice-level technicians
