Duties
- Lead and supervise HVAC installation projects, ensuring all work meets safety standards, codes, and quality expectations
- Interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to execute precise installations
- Coordinate with project managers, electricians, plumbers, and other trades to ensure seamless workflow
- Train and mentor junior installers on proper installation techniques, safety procedures, and equipment handling
- Conduct site inspections to verify proper system setup, airflow, refrigerant levels, and mechanical connections
- Diagnose issues during installation using tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot equipment as needed
- Ensure all installations comply with local building codes, environmental regulations (including ammonia refrigeration standards), and company policies
Requirements
- RMGA Certification
- Proven experience in construction-related fields with a focus on HVAC installation or service technician roles
- Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing, boilers, and appliances
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents accurately
- Skilled in equipment repair, welding, maintenance procedures, and property maintenance tasks
- Familiarity with field service operations involving air conditioning units and complex mechanical systems
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers or similar vehicles preferred
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical components
- Knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) standards and safety protocols
- Hands-on experience with welding techniques and boiler systems is a plus
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
