Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC Plumbing & Fire Systems)

Compensation: $120,000 - $180,000 / year



Description

We are searching for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead building system design of HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems. This is a leadership position to establish the mechanical team for a growing healthcare focused MEP firm.


Key Responsibilities

  • Establish an HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Protection team.
  • Manage and mentor junior engineers.
  • Needs to be able to be hands on and must know REVIT
  • Must know production
  • Develop technical deliverables, including construction plans & specifications.
  • Coordinate with clients on project requirements and status updates.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies to understand local permitting requirements and submit permit documents for review and approval.
  • Perform construction administration duties, including attending and documenting project meetings, conducting site visits, reviewing shop drawings, and assisting with the development of change order, closeout, and other construction documentation.
  • Perform onsite construction observation and inspection.



Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 10-20 years of related experience
  • P.E. License
  • Revit experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with both internal employees and external clients.
  • Self-motivated

Preferred Qualifications
  • AHCA Experience
  • Healthcare experience
