Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC Plumbing & Fire Systems)

Description
We are searching for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead building system design of HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems. This is a leadership position to establish the mechanical team for a growing healthcare focused MEP firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish an HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Protection team.
- Manage and mentor junior engineers.
- Needs to be able to be hands on and must know REVIT
- Must know production
- Develop technical deliverables, including construction plans & specifications.
- Coordinate with clients on project requirements and status updates.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies to understand local permitting requirements and submit permit documents for review and approval.
- Perform construction administration duties, including attending and documenting project meetings, conducting site visits, reviewing shop drawings, and assisting with the development of change order, closeout, and other construction documentation.
- Perform onsite construction observation and inspection.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 10-20 years of related experience
- P.E. License
- Revit experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with both internal employees and external clients.
- Self-motivated
