Inside Sales

Plumbing and HVAC | Connor Co. | Sugar Grove, IL

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Connor Co. is seeking an Inside Sales professional to help customers find the right plumbing and HVAC products and keep their projects moving. Join our Sugar Grove team in a role that combines customer service, technical product support, and sales coordination.

What You Will Do

  • Assist customers by phone and in person with product selection, specifications, pricing, availability, and application questions.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotes and bids; support outside sales with orders, submittals, and operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Read blueprints and schematics to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
  • Enter and confirm orders in Eclipse, coordinate deliveries, and track customer orders from entry through fulfillment.
  • Work with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve product, shipping, return, and warranty issues and provide follow-up support.
  • Build relationships with current and prospective customers, identify sales opportunities, and stay informed about products, market conditions, and competitors.
  • Participate in sales meetings, product training, industry organizations, and trade events; provide reports and support to the Branch Manager.
  • Assist the counter and warehouse teams as needed. Occasionally make customer deliveries, sales calls, and jobsite visits to help resolve issues.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent; at least two years of plumbing experience and two years of HVAC experience.
  • Knowledge of plumbing and HVAC systems, products, and markets, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Friendly, professional customer service and strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to prioritize a busy workload and work independently.
  • Problem-solving and basic math skills, along with the ability to learn and use Eclipse software.

Schedule and Employment Requirements

Occasional after-hours customer calls and opening the branch for customer needs may be required. Employment is contingent on successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay: $65,000 to $75,000 annually

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; short- and long-term disability coverage; a flexible spending account (FSA); and a 401(k) plan.
